So there you have it, no big road opener this year. The Dolphins will notably have 5 prime time games (if you count the London game). That just goes to show that Miami is back in terms of being a hot team in the NFL. More surprising is that the Phins will be featured on prime time 3 weeks in a row from October 26 to November 13. The Dolphins also do not have their BYE week after the London game. Electing to request the NFL give it to them later (NOV 20) so they use it when the players are more likely to be banged up.

The difficulty of the schedule remains some what a mystery. On one hand, you have to play the champs twice (Pats) and the other super bowl team, the Falcons. However, Miami opens against Tampa at home, only 2 division games for the first 10 weeks (Jets for both), and only have 1 long trip to LA in week 2. So this schedule could definitely be easier than last year.

I will make a full season preview when training camp starts, in the mean time its back to draft coverage. The Dolphins have been changing their stance on their first round for weeks now. They may go offense or defense or trade. Who knows? I personally can see the Phins trading up or down based on who it on the board. They want a good DE, but most will go in the top 15. As of right now, the best Miami can do may be a guard.

We’ll go more in depth in the draft once things clear up and be sure to follow the site and my twitter page on draft night.
