Samford cornerback James Bradberry had a great showing at his Pro Day earlier today. Bradberry ran a 4.50 at the Combine last week in Indianapolis but today shaved his time down to 4.40 which would’ve tied him for sixth among all DBs in Indy.

After jumping 10’4 at the Combine Bradberry knocked it out of the park with a 132 broad jump at his Pro Day. That would’ve been good enough for second place in Indianapolis.

Bradberry turned heads at the Senior Bowl last month and is projected to go in the mid to late rounds in the NFL Draft in April. At 6’1, 211 pounds Bradberry has good size but may better equipped for the safety position in the NFL.

Defensive tackle Michael Pierce also had a good showing today. At 6’0, 335 pounds Pierce has NFL size and strength. Today he benched 225 pound 28 times. That would’ve tied Pierce for 11th place a the Combine among all linemen. His broad jump was 108 inches. 108 inches may not sound like much but when you are over 300 pound that’s pretty explosive.

Scouts from the Jets, Browns and Rams were in Homewood, Alabama to check out the prospects today at Samford.
