Jeff Fisher was let go by the Rams owner Stan Kroenke on Monday after getting thumped by the Falcons the day before, 42-14. The former Rams coach went 31-45-1 in St. Louis and Los Angeles with the franchise. Ironically enough it was announced last week that Fisher got an extension earlier in the year after helping the team relocate to Southern California.

Fisher has been quiet since his firing but will break his silent tomorrow. FoxSports will air an exclusive interview with Fisher Sunday before the NFL games kick off. There is a teaser available in which Fisher gives some clues to Charissa Thompson as to why he was let go.

“We didn’t win enough games and the organization has a much bigger picture. I don’t think I was ever part of seeing a new stadium.”

Last month construction began on a new stadium for the Rams in Inglewood. It will be ready for the 2019-2020 NFL season. Until then L.A. will play in thr Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

With a career coaching record of 173-165-1 Fisher was tied for the record for all-time losses with Dan Reeves. Had he been the coach on Thursday night he likely would’ve broken that record against the Seahawks who beat L.A. 24-3 in Seattle.

The Rams are bad and won’t have a first or third round draft pick next year due to the trade last year with Fisher’s old team, the Tennessee Titans who took their first round picks last year and this year along with two second round selections last year and a third this year. The player that L.A. traded for, Jared Goff has been horrible all year and many fans believe that that trade could set the program back five years unless the QB figures things out next year.

Ironically enough Jeff Fisher’s son, Brandon is still the Rams defensive backs coach and will stay with the team through the end of the year.

What is really funny is about the upcoming interview is that Fox closes the teaser with Fisher saying “I want a chance to play the Rams”. After the way he sent the franchise into a tailspin I would to.
