We are now 5-5-1 on the year with our picks and have fallen pretty flat so far but this is the week we turn it around! Last week we hit on the Cowboys, Broncos and Rams but missed with the Patriots, Lions and Colts. This week there are some big games with some intriguing lines that we hope to take advantage of.

49ers +3 vs Cardinals
The Cardinals are a bug disappointment after many picked them to win the division after a strong 2015 season. Now with Carson Palmer on the shelf they travel to San Fransisco where they play a Niners team who has been up and down all year.

The 49ers whipped the Rams in week 1 then proceeded to lose three straight. They did look competitive against Dallas last week and coming off a short week I think they are the play going against the Cards minus Palmer at home in a short week.

49ers +3 are the play.

Browns +10.5 vs Patriots

Cleveland hasn’t won a game yet but they’ve been in the game against the Dolphins, Ravens and Redskins the past three weeks. Tom Brady is returning after a four game suspension and will get a win in his return. However, I think the Browns run the ball and try to shorten the game with Isaiah Pead pounding the ball instead of airing it out with rookie QB Cody Kessler. Cleveland has quietly led the NFL in rushing and I think this one stays close even with Brady.

Cleveland +10.5 is the play.

Eagles -2.5 at Lions

The Lions aren’t very good. They lost to Green Bay, Tennessee and Chicago and could be in the running for the top pick in next year’s draft. Detroit has had problems running the ball since Ameer Abdullah went down and Matthew Stafford is either going to throw four touchdowns or four interceptions. Philly’s defense has been nasty all year and I expect them to give Stafford all he can handle considering he struggled against the Bears last week.

Carson Wentz has been exceptional so far as a rookie and I don’t see why he can’t put up decent numbers against a Lions’ defense that had a tough time against decent offense like the Colts and Packers earlier this year.

Eagles -2.5 is the play.

Rams -2 vs Bills
The Bills are a big question mark. After firing their offensive coordinator they go to New England and beat up the Patriots. I think it’s all because Bill Belicheck was playing an injured third string QB and things get back to normal this week.

The Rams have been a great story so far. After getting blown out in week one L.A. has won three straight and now is on top of the NFC West. Todd Gurley and Case Keenum have the Rams scoring enough points to win close games on the backs of their excellent defense. Los Angeles really should be at least a touchdown favorite in this one.

Rams -2 is the play.
