Hilltopper Football may be five months away, but fans of the Red and White can mark their calendars today as kickoff times for all six home games, including the season opener and homecoming, have been announced.

WKU’s season opener against Conference USA foe Rice has moved from Sept. 3 to Thursday, Sept. 1 to accommodate a national television broadcast. The game will kick off at 7 p.m., from Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

The Hilltoppers host SEC foe Vanderbilt, the first-ever SEC foe to play inside Houchens-Smith Stadium, on Sept. 24 at 2:30 p.m., a week before hosting Houston Baptist on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m.

WKU’s final three home games are all C-USA games, and all three are scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m., including the annual homecoming game against Old Dominion.

Promotions and television assignments for WKU’s home slate will be announced at a later date. Game times are subject to change.
