WKU closed out their fourth week of spring practice on Friday in full pads on the turf of Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

With just one week to go, capped off by an April 23 Spring Game, head coach Jeff Brohm has been pleased with the team’s progress so far.

“I think our guys are working hard, and we have to make sure we continue to have that hunger and work ethic,” Brohm said. “We have to push through. It’s important in the next four practices to get something out of it.”

WKU is still searching for a replacement for quarterback Brandon Doughty, and the four-man race to do so has yet to yield a clubhouse leader.

“There is improvement, but you’d like to see someone single themselves out,” Brohm added “I’m not sure we’ve seen that to this point, but there has been improvement.”

The Red vs. White Spring Game on April 23 will feature free admission, parking and tailgating across campus as well as a WKU Spring Football sale on the concourse beginning at Noon. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive a free Conference USA Champions tank top.
